I mentioned it in my previous post, but now I actualy completed watching it after faffing around with drives. Truly bizarre. My own dvd writer which made the disc can't read it. My 16x dvd drive read it, but had read errors from about 1/3 through the disc. My mum's CD/dvd combo drive had no issues. I'll never truly understand computers.
Anyway I digress, I watched the ova, and as a result I took a dislike to the TV series which I had watched before. This is because, the TV series essentialy takes the second half of the show (ep 8 onwards) and remakes it. With the same characters in different roles. Parn's place is taken by Spark and Deedlit's by Neese, but it is essentialy the same storyline. This to me reeks of laziness on hte part of the creators.... but once again I digress.
The ova is a superb tale of one man's quest to become a hero. Action, and a little romance ensue. It's well done throught and I as always am a fan of Maaya Sakamoto's Adesso E Fortuna as the intro music. The plot is interesting and open ended, which again leads to the question 'why recycle the plot for the TV series?'
Anyway, if you haven't watched the TV series yet, watch the ova. If you have, watch the first 7 eps unless you want the original storyline.
