well love hina really became the best anime for me recently... so just want to ask you guys if there is an anime that has similar story or plotlines to love hina...

Did you try the "Welcome to Pia Carrot 2 DX" OVAs ? They aren't the best but they are quite good...

Well the first season focuses mainly on mech combat, but it's fun and has some romance in it too.
FMP2 is about the school days post FMP1 and focuses entirely on the romantic comedy element.... and it's freaking hilarious.

Sakura Diaries and Golden Boy are both romantic comedies but I haven't seen Love Hina, yet. I do recommend them both if you want some short anime series with good animation and packing some laughs.
