Ok, so I'm trying to rip some of my PS1 games and create .iso files, but when I put every single one of them in the drive, nothing happens. When I open ImgBurn and try to create an image, it says something like "disk tray closed, media not detected", or something along those lines. When I click on the drive in My Computer, the drive opens and asks me to insert a disk, even though a PS1 game is already in the tray.
However, as a test, I popped in Dragon Quest 8 into my computer. I heard the drive humming, and the little window asking me which program I wanted to open it with popped up. I then proceeded to make an image of the game with no problem.
So what's the deal? Why does my comp not recognize PS1 games (which I desire to rip more than my PS2 games)?
For the record, I'm running Windows 7 with an amd athlon 62 X2 Dual Core processor at 2.8 ghz. I have 3 gigs of ram, an nvidia geForce 6150SE nForce 430 graphics card, and a atapi dvd a dh16A3l scsi cdRom device.
I have no problem burning CD-RW's or DVD-RW's, so I don't see why my computer won't recognize PS1 games. Is this a problem with my disk drive or something else? I would appreciate someone's help, as I have no desire to download illegal copies of psx games.
