When you find a solution if you could post what you did that would be appreciated.

I have been searching the forums and have not found an answer for my problem. I still have my original copy of Chrono Cross for the PS1, but my ps2 decided to go kaput. so I got ePSXe 1.5.2, as I read that it would likely run Chrono Cross the best. I believe I have all of the plugins req to play it, and I can get other games to work with my current settings.
The problem is that as soon as I click to run the cdrom, ePSXe goes to a black screen for a few seconds, and then completely closes itself. I am very new to emulators, so I have no idea as to why it closes . I'm sure ppl will ask for system info so...AMD Athlon processor LE-1640 2.70GHz 2GB of Ram 32-bit operating system store-bought Compaq, nothin fancy, but I should be more than capable of running Chrono Cross. please ask for any further spec's and I will post them [EDIT] I have found a fix for my problem and I would like to mark this thread as deletable for any moderators that read this, or if I can delete it myself I gladly will with instruction on how to, so that this does not use up server space on the site. |

So I just got my hands on a copy of Valkyrie Profile. Came in the mail not an hour after I finished Grandia, so yay for epic timing. (and old gaming binges)
Well, I go and put disk one in my DVD drive and rip it, and do the same for the second disk. While the second one is doing its thing, I go make dinner for myself. About an hour and a half later, I get back to my computer and fire up ePSXe to play the game. .... ... Nothing happens. I go into my cd plugin settings and tinker with them a bit, start the game up again.... Nothing. At this point, I'm getting annoyed. I open the video settings, and proceed to spend an hour and a half changing various settings with no success. So now I'm pissed at the game. I close ePSXe and do other things for a few hours. A little while ago, I had the urge to play Xenogears again, so I go down to the task bar and open up Daemon tools, and I see..... "Device 0: [G:] No Media" My head hits the desk. I never loaded the VP iso into Daemon tools. |

i just started ffvii on epsxe using the actual disc. i get a slight slow down when changing scenes. also the in battle cursor has a blue box around it with the beginning of Clouds name on it. after i meet aeris and am jumping from roof to roof the game will go black and freeze. ive read a few posts about some similar problems and all the solutions seem very complicated. i am wondering if there are any ffvii specific plugins that would make this particular game run smoothly and maybe even boost the graphics. i heard elsewhere that there are kane's ffvii plugins specifically for ffvii but im not sure where to get them. here are all of my settings because i am not sure which ones would make a bigger difference. any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
